REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 60-2013 issued on September 6, 2013 enjoins participation to the celebration of the 24th National Statistics Month (NSM) in October 2013.

     The theme for this year’s celebration is “Statistics that Matter to Every Filipino”, with the objectives of promoting, enhancing and instilling nationwide awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of the society; and eliciting the cooperation and support of the general public in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics in the country.

     All agencies of the government and their respective regions/field offices are enjoined to participate and support the celebration through various activities such as symposia, workshops, orientation seminars, exhibits, slide shows and publication of statistical reports, indicators and other relevant information with particular emphasis on the theme.

     Each Revenue Regional and District Office is requested to provide their own NSM streamer to be displayed at their building façade throughout the month of October. BIR employees may coordinate with the participating agencies in their respective areas for their specific activity that they may want to get involved in.
