REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 58-2005 issued on October 21, 2005 clarifies the policy on the production of books, papers and other pertinent data for Revenue Integrity Protection Service (RIPS) purposes.                                                                                                                   All internal revenue officials and employees are directed to entertain only written requests for the production of said documents signed by the Secretary of Finance or by Undersecretary Emmanuel P. Bonoan, who is in charge of the RIPS. Any other request signed by persons representing themselves to be from RIPS must be reported to Undersecretary Bonoan, together with a copy of the purported request.
