REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2-2022 issued on January 10, 2022
publishes the full text of letter from Undersecretary Charade B. Mercado-Grande of the Department of Health endorsing updates to the “List of VAT-Exempt Drugs and Vaccines Prescribed and Directly Used for COVID-19 Treatment” under Republic Act No. 11534 (CREATE Act).
In the letter, it was clarified that if the salt form of the medicines under the COVID-19 VAT Exempt List is not specified, it signifies that all the salt forms of the particular drug is covered by the VAT exemption.
